KLIMS 18 - The Honda Forza is a gorgeous scooter with a premium price

It’s got everything - power, presence and a very cool electric adjustable windscreen

Other than the PCX Hybrid, Boon Siew Honda also launched the Honda Forza, a rather large scooter with bigger everything, which also includes a price that puts this scooter squarely in the premium segment.

Powering the rear wheel is a 279cc liquid-cooled fuel-injected OHC four-stroke engine that produces 25hp and 27.2Nm of torque. The engine is mated to V-Matic transmission, which is essentially a CVT gearbox. With a tank of 11.5 litres, the Forza moves with an efficiency of 31km/l. The scooter’s sharp steering geometry gives plenty of agility to squeeze through traffic.

This scooter is also Honda’s first AT model to feature the Honda Selectable Torque Control (HSTC). Other things that come with this scooter are ABS, Honda SMART Key System, full LED lighting an under-seat compartment that’ll fit two full-face helmets and a 12V charging socket. The highlight here is its electric-operated adjustable windscreen that allows you to reduce or extend its height on the fly, depending on what is comfortable for you at the time.

Although the Forza has a shorter wheelbase of 1,510mm and a shoer overall length of 2,140mm compared to the previous model, the sleekness of its design makes the scooter appear larger than it really is. It is also lighter, tipping the scales at 182kg.

Boon Siew Honda wants RM30,999 for a Forza. For the price, you’re really getting an full-featured scooter that can zip through the city and have the power to breeze through highways. Worth a look, we think.
