The maintenance package for new Mazda vehicles is bonkers!

Because there's nothing better than having someone else foot your car's maintenance and service bill

Mazda makes great cars, but up to last year, their maintenance package isn’t at all significant. Where their competitors are offering a 5-year maintenance package in one form or another, Mazda’s owners always had to settle with just three. Well, until now.

Bermaz Motor has recently announced that starting from 1 Jan 2019, all newly-registered Mazda vehicles will come standard with a 5-year Manufacturer’s Warranty and 5 Years Free Maintenance. This means that every time you send your Mazda in for your vehicle’s scheduled maintenance, you don’t have to pay anything as labour, parts and lubricants are free.

However, there are conditions. The offer has a mileage limit of 100,000km (or 5 years, whichever comes first) and is not applicable to Mazda BT-50.

On top of that, Bermaz is also giving value-added features, one of which is the 24-Hour Roadside Assistance. Also included, if you’re in the Klang Valley and Penang, is the Mazda Mobile Service that provides door-to-door servicing at no extra charge.

Lastly, there’s the Mazda Privilege Card, done in collaboration with the Mazda Medicare Fund, that rewards socially responsible owners who frequently engage with Bermaz’s charitable programs. The Mazda Privilege Card allows the cardholder benefits on after sales service that is beyond the scheduled maintenance and official merchandises.

It looks like Bermaz Motor is upping their game and this could be the Musang King in the ice kacang that seals the deal. Other Japanese car companies in Malaysia should take note.
