Multilevel carparks make a cool setting for a car show. In addition to spacious and mostly covered to ward off the weather, it means that the location will most likely be quite centralised as well.

Plus, remember that scene from Tokyo Drift when the elevator doors open and you see a car drift right in front across the path?

Yeah, that didn’t happen for a number of reasons. Obviously, safety was the main one but also there were no elevators. Nonetheless, it felt like that scene could have almost played out in real life at Retro Havoc 2018 and that’s exactly what the show is about.

The “retro” part of the name hints at the cars present although with it being such a broad term with respect to the timeline, you could find anything from Toyota Corolla KE30s to much newer and modern machine such as the Honda NSX and Nissan Skyline R32 GT-R.

Everything else in between was present and accounted for too. The atmosphere was mostly pleasant with a chilled vibe although the occasional moron would forget that it was in an enclosed area and rev the nuts of his engine.

The only downside to the event, the unnecessary revving of the engines did bring about some smart ideas to combat the situation next year which you can bet will be even bigger and better.

In the meantime, enjoy the gallery below and in case you missed the first one just click here.
