There’re are hundred different brands of engine lubricants on the market and they all tend to claim the same things. So if you’re going to make an impression, entering a gruelling race as the defending champs the same weekend as you launch said engine oils is one way to get people to sit up and take notice.

Contix Asia introduced its range of Unixx engine oils to Malaysians with a commitment to providing consistently high quality engineered performance at competitive prices. The launch on 28 March 2018 also coincided with the company’s involvement in the upcoming Thailand Super Series that will be held at the Sepang International Circuit this coming weekend from 30 March to 1 April 2018.

Formulated from the highest quality basestocks and produced at ISO certified facilities in Singapore and Thailand, Unixx engine oils meet the highest API and ACEA standards as well as various OEM specifications, emissions and energy standards.

The company is confident the lubricants suit Malaysian driving conditions with its ability to provide good shear stability and cleaner engines that will result in a more responsive engine and a smoother drive.

Contix Asia is now entering its third year as the official sponsor of the Unixx TR Motorsports Race Team that has proven the lubricant’s performance in circuit racing, endurance racing, drag, drift and other disciplines in the region.

The team were the 2017 champs of the Supercar GTC class in the 2017 Thailand Super Series which they piloted their first-generation Porsche 977 to the overall title. They followed it up by coming in as the runner-up in the Thailand Super Production category with driver Thomas Raldorf and a Honda City.

This 2018 season sees the Danish youngster step up to a 510whp second generation Porsche 997 GT3 in the GTM class of the Thailand Super Series at Sepang this weekend.

Unixx has also been backing the Unixx JMS Tuner Motorsport outfit in the Malaysian Speed Festival circuit where its driver finished fifth overall in the 2017 season and won Round 1 of the 2018 Malaysian Speed Festival.

Contix Asia will be launching the brand here with a range of four viscosities that caters for petrol and diesel engines. They comprise the fully synthetic Unixx Professional Formula 5W-40 engine oil, a synthetic blend Unixx Performance Formula 10W-40 engine oil and a 10w-30 as well as a 15W-40 for diesel engines.

A Racing Formula 5w50 fully-synthetic oil designed for extreme conditions such as racing or high-performance vehicles should be making its way here soon. Unixx also produces a range of industrial lubricants available in China, Thailand and Myanmar.
