There’s a new head honcho of Naza’s auto manufacturing plant

Apart from heading the plant, Laurence Noel will take on the role of Groupe PSA’s SVP for Asean

Naza’s Automotive Manufacturing (NAM) plant in Gurun, Kedah has a new chief executive officer in Laurence Noel. The joint announcement of her appointment came from Groupe PSA and Naza Corporation Holdings of which the former has also appointed Noel as its senior vice president of Asean effective 1 May 2018.

Noel’s career at Groupe PSA begun in 1995 as she held various positions in Powertrain Projects and Programmes before taking the reign of Powertrain, Platform and Module Programmes in 2014.

Now based in Kuala Lumpur, her main focus will be to accelerate the group’s development in the region as detailed in its “Push to Pass” plan in 2016.

Groupe PSA, holds a majority stake in the business operations of NAM as part of shared sale agreement and joint venture with Naza Corporation Holdings in 2018. Officially, NAM is now shared between the two and the first manufacturing hub for Groupe PSA in Asean.

As part of the deal, Naza Group holds the sole responsibility for the distribution of Peugeot, Citroen and DS Automobiles vehicles in Malaysia while Groupe PSA will explore distribution prospects in Asean markets.
