As far as design goes, you’d either embrace the design of the new Citroen Grand C4 SpaceTourer or want to kick it down the sidewalk. But all will agree that the C4 SpaceTourer looks far from being just a box with four wheels.

The directional Bi-Xenon headlights capture attention, and so does the DRL that links up with the Chevron emblem that forms right in the middle. Moving up, the low-sloping hood and the steep windscreen ties up the front end. As for the rear, the 3D lights adds to the flair of this French MPV.

Being an MPV, you can expect plenty of interior space. With all seats up, the C4 SpaceTourer will accommodate seven adults in a 2-3-2 configuration. Fold the second and third-row seats down, and the 632 litres of boot space expands into 2,181 litres. Yet, the storage space doesn’t end there. Under the floor are compartments, the central storage can be removed if need be and there are cubby holes all around the interior. For convenience, the motorised tailgate can be opened by ‘kicking’ under the rear bumper.

There are some safety features packed into the MPV. Headlining the list is the Active Safety Brake, which works up to speeds of 30kph, that immediately brakes the car to prevent a collision or severe damage. Filling up the features list is the Speed Limit Recognition, Driver Attention Alert, six airbags, Interior Child Monitoring Mirror, 3 ISOFIX mountings and your standard alphabet soup of safety systems.

The Citroen C4 SpaceTourer is powered by a 1.6-litre turbo that produces 165hp and 240Nm of torque from 1,400rpm with a fuel efficiency of 5.8l/100km. The drivetrain is complete with a six-speed automatic transmission.

This Citroen is priced at RM149,888 that comes with a 3-year free service, a 5-year/120,000km warranty, 24-hour Roadside Assistance and access to Subang Skypark’s Sky Lounge. And this makes the Citroen C4 SpaceTourer one of the cheapest European MPV that you can buy right now.
